The Aluminum Office Chair EA 108, by Charles Eames, was a furniture design created in 1950s and 1960s. Together with his wife Ray Eames both had an influential role in the development of the Bauhaus chairs style. Due this inspired time several designs of aluminum chairs have been developed. The best known of office chairs by Charles Eames were awarded the markings EA 108, EA 117, EA 112, EA 217 and EA 219. When in 1956 he the now legendary Lounge Chair* got designed and developed, Charles Eames reached worldwide fame. The Lounge Chair as well as the aluminum chairs are now considered absolute modern classics. His right choice of material in connection with design and manufacturing process resulted in a pioneering elegance in many areas of Bauhaus designs.
