The Irish designer Eileen Gray Bauhaus studied painting at the Académie Colarossi and Académie Julian in Paris. Her design career began with designs of exclusive lacquer furniture. Later she developed interior concepts for a viable and flexible use of a house. This employment and the acquaintance with the architect Jean Badovici led almost inevitably to yourself to dare to architectural projects. With the design of her Daybed she kept the example of the principles of the Bauhaus, according to the beauty and functionality are the fine art of furniture design.
