This LC1 chair with tilting backrest of the Bauhaus designer Le Corbusier is available as a designer chair made from italian hide leather orpony fur leather. With original hex-head screws and fully chromed* steel tube frame, no oxidation is possible.

Charles Edouard Jeanneret-Gris (Le Corbusier), was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, where he studied furniture design. In 1908 he worked in Paris in Auguste Perret´s architectural office. 1910 and 1911 he lived in Germany and here he came in touch with the ideas of leading designers: He met Wolf Dohrn, the well know director of the Dresden workshop, Hermann Muthesius and Peter Behrens, in whose office he worked for a short time. Designing the LC1 armchair, swiss Bauhaus designer and architect Le Corbusier developed a unique design vision for chairs and armchairs. Up till today, distinctively and unmodified his chairs from the LC series are well known as a design classic. Developing them, Le Corbusier was one of the most important, prominent and influential Bauhaus furniture designer of the 20th century.
